Holiness will teach the Four Noble Truths in Auckland
on Monday June 18th at the Vector Arena, Mahuhu Crescent,
Parnell, Auckland Central, 10am - 12pm and 1.30pm -3.30pm.

This
teaching by His Holiness the Dalai Lama, open to the general
public, is an in depth presentation of the fundamental teaching
of the Buddha.
The
teaching is presented in two sessions 10am - 12pm and 1.30pm
-3.30pm. Please be seated fifteen minutes before each session
begins.

The
Four Noble Truths
The vast range of teachings to be found within Tibetan Buddhism
can summarized by the Four Noble truths expounded by the Buddha.
The First Noble Truth states that our conditioned
existence is never completely free from a state of suffering,
of dissatisfaction.
The Second Noble Truth states that the reason for this
is that any action one may do, say or think gives rise to
a result which has to be experienced either later in one's
life or in a future life.
The Third Noble Truth expounds the cessation of this suffering
and freedom from conditioned existence.
The Fourth Noble Truth explains how this suffering,
this dissatisfaction, can be overcome through the accumulation
of positive actions and the practice of meditation.
